Shrek the Musical follows Shrek, a grumpy but kind-hearted ogre whose quiet swamp life is disrupted when a group of fairy-tale misfits are banished there by the villainous Lord Farquaad. To get his home back, Shrek sets out on a quest with the talkative Donkey to rescue Princess Fiona, discovering along the way that true friendship and love can be found in the most unexpected places.
